- Flat inserts and partitions — Erected during packing rather than stored erected.
- Rigid boxes ship assembled — Which is a real storage cost, and worth weighing against the presentation benefit.
- Nested trays — Formed trays take considerably more volume than flat board — plan for it.

They can, but flat-packed units ship far more cheaply and erect in under a minute. Pre-assembled units need an outer tall enough for the header, which raises freight noticeably.
