Larger vials change the arithmetic
A 30ml multi-dose vial is a substantially bigger and heavier object than a 5ml peptide vial. Filled, ten of them in one case is a real load, and the packaging has to be specified accordingly rather than scaled up from a smaller design.
- Higher loaded weight — A tucked bottom flap is not appropriate; auto-lock or a two-piece structure is.
- Deeper cavities — A taller vial needs support over more of its height to stay upright.
- Partitions over platforms — At this weight, cells with walls on four sides beat a punched deck.
- Case-level thinking — The pack is often the shipping unit, not something inside another box.
Designing for over-labelling
These cartons are frequently labelled downstream, and designing for that from the start avoids a common and expensive problem.
- Defined clear zone — An area sized to the applied label, kept free of printed content.
- Matte or uncoated finish there — Gloss laminate can reject label adhesive; a matte area holds it.
- Flat panel only — A label applied across a crease will lift at the fold.
- Barcode kept clear — Positioned where an applied label will not cover it.
- Plain carton option — Some customers order entirely unprinted cartons and apply all content by label.
Formats we build
- Single-vial carton — For 10ml to 30ml vials sold individually.
- Ten-count case, 5 × 2 — The most common trade unit; partitioned corrugated or heavy board.
- Twenty-five count case — A 5 × 5 grid for higher-volume distribution.

Materials, chosen for cost and strength
This is a category where corrugated board frequently makes more sense than a printed folding carton, and it is worth saying so directly.
- B-flute corrugated — The workhorse for ten- and twenty-five count cases. Strong, cheap, prints adequately.
- E-flute corrugated — Where the case is retail-facing and print quality matters more.
- Heavier SBS paperboard — For single-vial cartons and smaller counts.
- Kraft board — Plain, functional and the lowest-cost option for a carton that will be over-labelled anyway.
- Recyclable paper-based stock — Straightforward here, since these packs rarely need lamination or foam.
Inserts and partitions
- Twin-wall corrugated partitions — The standard for multi-count cases; cells stiffen the case as well as separating vials.
- Single-wall partitions — Adequate for lighter counts and smaller vials.
- Die-cut deck — For single-vial cartons where the vial base rests on the box floor.
- Moulded pulp tray — Where a formed tray is wanted without plastic.
Partition assembly is worth planning: a twenty-five cell grid takes noticeably longer to erect than a ten cell one, and that time is a real cost at volume. The custom box inserts page covers the options.
Printing that suits a low-cost carton
- One-colour printing — The most common specification. Product identification and handling text in a single ink.
- Two-colour — A brand colour plus black, where some differentiation is wanted.
- CMYK process — Where the case is retail-facing rather than trade.
- Plain unprinted — A genuine option, and the cheapest; all content applied by label.
Finishing
- No coating — Common and appropriate; uncoated board takes labels best.
- Aqueous coating — Light scuff protection while staying in a paper recycling stream.
- Matte lamination — Only where the carton is retail-facing, and never over the label zone.
Vial labels for larger formats
A 30ml vial gives a much larger label panel than a peptide vial, which changes what is practical.
- Larger panel area — Room for full product information without reducing type size.
- Wrap-around labels — A single label covering most of the vial circumference.
- Moisture-resistant materials — For vials stored in a refrigerator or handled with damp hands.
- Variable data — Batch, lot and expiry printed per unit.

Ordering
- 1. Vial size and count — These two numbers set almost the whole specification.
- 2. Over-label dimensions — If a label will be applied, give us its size so we reserve the area.
- 3. Case or carton — We will quote corrugated and folding board so the cost difference is visible.
- 4. Loaded sample — Filled to the actual weight, so the base and partitions can be checked.
- 5. Production — Printed if required, cut, glued, with partitions supplied flat.
Artwork responsibility
- We print what you supply and approve; we do not author packaging content.
- We do not review artwork for regulatory compliance or required statements.
- Preflight checks cover production issues only.
- Determining what your packaging and labels must show is your responsibility.
Quality control
- Cases are loaded to the stated weight and checked for base integrity.
- Partition grids are checked for square and for cell fit against the actual vial.
- The reserved label zone is checked for coating and position.

Bacteriostatic Water Packaging Boxes: questions we are asked
Do you sell bacteriostatic water?
No. We manufacture packaging. Orders contain empty cartons, cases, partitions or labels and nothing else. We have never supplied a liquid, diluent or compound of any kind.
Why is corrugated often better than a printed carton here?
Because the load is heavier and the print requirement is usually lower. A partitioned B-flute case protects ten large vials far better than a folding carton and costs less. If the case is retail-facing, E-flute gives a better print surface.
How much space should I leave for an applied label?
Measure the label your distributor actually uses and give us those dimensions plus a small margin. We reserve that area, keep it off any crease, and specify a matte or uncoated finish so the adhesive holds.
Can I order completely plain cartons?
Yes, and it is a common choice in this category. An unprinted kraft or white carton with all content applied by label is the lowest-cost route.
Do twenty-five cell partitions take long to assemble?
Longer than ten, noticeably. At volume that assembly time is a real cost, so it is worth comparing a 5 × 5 partition grid against two 5 × 2 cases before deciding.
What holds a 30ml vial best?
Twin-wall partitions. A punched deck locates the vial but a heavy multi-dose vial needs walls on four sides, particularly when the case is the shipping unit.
Can these cases double as shipping boxes?
Often, yes — that is one reason corrugated is the usual material here. If they will be shipped, tell us so the board grade accounts for stacking as well as content weight.
Will your packaging make my product compliant?
No. Packaging does not create compliance. What your product requires, and whether it may lawfully be supplied, are matters for you and your regulatory advisers.
Do you supply matching labels for the vials?
Yes. A larger vial gives a generous label panel, and wrap-around labels are straightforward at these diameters.
What is the cheapest workable specification?
Unprinted kraft B-flute case, single-wall partitions, all content applied by label. That is the floor, and for high-volume diluent supply it is frequently the right answer.
