Custom Peptide Display Boxes

A display box has a different job from every other structure on this site. It is not protecting a vial in transit; it is presenting a row of them at eye level on a counter, and it has to keep doing that after a dozen units have been taken from it.

That means two things: a header card tall enough to be read from across a room, and a base whose cavities hold the remaining vials upright and forward as the unit empties.

The header card does the selling

On a counter, the vials themselves are small and low. The header is what a customer sees first, and it is usually the only part of the unit read from more than a metre away.

Headers are either die-cut as part of the same board — folding up and locking into the back wall — or supplied as a separate card slotted into a channel. The one-piece version is cheaper and ships flat; the separate card can be replaced for a promotion without remaking the whole unit.

Tiering and how the unit empties

A flat tray of vials looks reasonable when it is full and untidy when it is half empty. Tiering fixes that.

  • Stepped tiersEach row sits higher than the one in front, so every label is visible even when full.
  • Angled front wallTips the front row forward toward the customer.
  • Individual cavitiesEach vial in its own pocket so removing one does not disturb the others.
  • Front-fill designCavities sized so the unit still looks intentional when only the back rows remain.

Where the unit ships pre-filled and is placed directly on the counter, the outer transit case has to protect a header that is taller than the box — plan it alongside the peptide shipping boxes specification.

Materials

A display unit has to hold its shape on a counter for weeks. That is a different requirement from surviving a single journey.

  • E-flute corrugatedThe standard. Strong enough for a loaded tray, light enough to ship, prints acceptably.
  • Heavier SBS paperboardA better print surface for small units where the load is light.
  • B-flute corrugatedFor larger units or heavier vial counts where rigidity matters most.
  • Rigid chipboardFor premium permanent units that stay in place long-term.
  • Recyclable paper-based stockAchievable throughout; display units are usually paper-only anyway.

Flute grade is what decides whether a loaded unit still looks square after three weeks on a counter — the flute and board grades are described in full elsewhere.

Artwork guidance

  • Design the header to be read at two metres, not at arm's length.
  • Keep the header artwork clear of the fold and lock tabs at its base.
  • Remember the front row of vials will cover part of the front panel — keep copy above or below it.
  • On corrugated, avoid fine reversed type; the flute structure shows through on small text.
  • Artwork arrives as print-ready PDF with 3 mm bleed, outlined type and 300 dpi links.

Quality control

  • Assembled samples are loaded fully and checked for tipping.
  • Header lock tabs are function-tested by erecting sample units.
  • Tier heights are verified so back-row labels clear the front row.
  • Print registration on the header is checked, since it is the most-viewed panel.
  • Units are checked for square once erected.

Shipping display units

  • Flat-packed units ship efficiently and assemble in under a minute.
  • Pre-assembled units need an outer case tall enough for the header, which raises freight cost.

Peptide Display Boxes: questions we are asked

Should the header be part of the box or a separate card?

An integrated header is cheaper and means one part to order. A separate card can be swapped for a promotion or a seasonal message without remaking the unit, and can use a heavier board. If the message will change, use a card.

How tall can the header be before the unit tips?

It depends on the base footprint and the loaded weight. A tall header on a small, light base is unstable, so we check tipping on a loaded sample rather than working to a rule.

Why do display units need tiers?

So every label is visible when the unit is full, and so the unit still looks intentional when it is half empty. A flat tray only looks good in one state.

Can display units ship pre-filled?

Yes, but the outer case has to be designed around the assembled, loaded unit including the header — which is considerably taller than the tray. That raises freight cost, so it is worth comparing against flat-packing.

Is corrugated board acceptable for a retail display?

E-flute corrugated is the industry standard for counter displays and prints well enough for almost all applications. Fine reversed type is the one thing to avoid, because the flute structure can show through.

How long will a display unit last on a counter?

That depends on handling, humidity and how often it is restocked. A laminated E-flute unit holds up well for a typical promotional period; a rigid unit lasts considerably longer.

Can the same unit hold different vial sizes?

Only if the cavities are sized to the larger vial, which leaves the smaller one loose. If you need to display two sizes, two tiers with different cavity sizes is the cleaner solution.

Can we print on the back of the unit?

Yes. For island placements a double-sided header and a printed rear panel are worth specifying, since the unit will be seen from behind.

Do you assemble the units for us?

We can supply them pre-assembled, though flat-packed units ship much more cheaply and take under a minute each to erect.

Do you supply the vials that go in the display?

No. We produce the empty display unit, its tiers and any labels. The vials and their contents are yours.

Stand one on a counter first

Display units are judged from two metres away and after half the stock is gone. Ask for a loaded sample and look at it in the room it will actually live in.
