Loading ergonomics
How easily a vial goes into a cavity determines throughput, and it is set by the insert specification.
- Foam density — Too firm and every insertion takes force; too soft and vials work loose in transit.
- Cavity chamfer — A slight lead-in at the cavity mouth makes hand loading much faster.
- Cap pass-through — On a die-cut hole, the cap has to clear before the body engages.
- Open-base structures — A two-piece base is easier to load than a carton with flaps in the way.
If loading is by machine rather than by hand, say so early — draft angle and flange design change, as set out on the peptide boxes with blister or moulded tray page.
